St Mary’s Out of School Care

A bit about us at St Mary’s

In collaboration with the local school of St Mary’s C of E Primary School in Old Amersham, we offer a breakfast and afterschool club exclusively for the children who attend the school.

During the school holidays (except the Christmas break) we run a holiday play scheme for children aged 4 years at full-time school, up to aged 11 years 11 months.

The staff working at the out of school clubs have all undergone a thorough recruitment process, including a DBS clearance and first aid training. The staff group consists of a manager, team leader, nursery nurses and assistants. Some of these are childcare qualified and others are ‘students’ who are in school, college or university working part-time with us.

Our Clubs

Weather Permitting, we take the children outside to play during the afternoon session, either in the school playground or on Barn Meadow, a large playing field opposite the school.

Prices

The cost for each session:

Breakfast Club £4.50 per morning

Afterschool Club £12.00 per afternoon

Your bill will be calculated each term and an invoice given at the beginning of the term. We accept childcare vouchers and Tax Free Childcare payments as full or part payment if you wish.

The club was registered with Ofsted in 2006 and has always been very popular with families whom attend. We therefore are currently full and hold a waiting list system for future places. Please contact us if you wish to join the list.

At Holiday Club we run a very relaxed and fun day with toys, games, crafts and other activities such as cooking. We also spend as much time as possible outside, visiting the park, woods, local museum etc.

The children bring their own packed lunch each day and are provided with a morning and afternoon snack by us. The children help make the afternoon snack and maybe a little sweet treat to go with it!

We offer three sessions (discount for NHS employees):

Short day 8:30am-3:30pm £26 / £23.50 / £21

Long day 8:30am-5:30pm £31 / £28.50 / £26

Extra-long day 8:00am-6:00pm £36 / £33.50 / £31
